Here Are The Rules To Follow While On This Board:

Rules May Change, So Please Check Back Regularly!!


1: No fussing and no racial posts. If you wish to fuss then PM each other, we really don't want to see someone fuss. If the staff or I see it then both person's or if more people are involved, will be banned permanently.

Although, I dont mind a debate about something. Like a debate on music. If someone is bashing your character and takes it to far I will allow you to spit it back at them. you have a right to defend yourself, and the person who started it will be banned, we wont ban you for defending yourself.

2: Just to clear up a few things, we are asking you to please be respectful of other members. Please show them respect. A few please post here’s are ok, but if you keep doing this after the first 3 times in one night, please expect to be put on our Admin Warning Level system. Its quite annoying to always having someone every time you turn around saying things like “Please Post here, or Would you please post here?” We will post when we have the time and chance. And be respectful. No one likes to be ordered around and especially those who are nice enough to rp with you. Just keep this in mind when you’re impatient. Care about others and their feelings. If they are currently doing something important that you may not know about they will post when they can, no excessive emails or annoying comments about posting.

3: Please be at least appropriate, We understand this is BtVS and there will be fighting, but keep it in the role play, do not offend an actual person. And language isn't a caring aspect here. I'm not picky about cursing or how much you use. But like I've said, don't curse at the actual person, only at the character. And of course, use your own juristiction on how much cursing you think is acceptable. Please no "Fuckety fuck fuck fucker or something to that affect. That is to much cursing and we would appriciate it to be more toned down then that.

Also, with this rule I don't mind sex. I know as teenagers we experiment with sex and use it/have it for many different reasons. If you want to go into the whole smut/NC-17 rating scenes put up the word smut or NC-17 in the title so we know that the scene goes into explicit content that might not be suitable for younger audiences. And if you are younger than 13, please don't sign up. We can tell if you are lying about your age, you will have the mental capacity of a 13 year old, not of someone much older. Also, I know Buffy had sexual content on the show, therefore I don't care if its on this board, if you offended, just tell the person your rping with that you don't want to have sex. It can be easily avoided. And also, if you don't want to read it, don't. Know ones making you read smut.

4: No one-liners. No one word or one sentence replies unless you put a lot in the sentence or you explain what your characters feeling and then use the one-liners. We can't play off of a scene with hardly anything to work with. We also can't reply and can't have a decent conversation between characters if you do that. If you are caught using a one liner without a good cause then you will be warned in your post of the usage and if it happens again you will be banned for 2 days.

Also in connection with this rule, please use proper punctuation. There are such things as periods, commas, and also semi colons. These are strongly advised to be an excessive habit that we beg of you to use. We can't understand what you are trying to say when it’s in one long paragraph, and there are no breaks with a period after a thought is processed and finished.

5: You must be a fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer or you must be a fan of Vampires or some dealing in the supernatural. If you aren't it will be hard for you to grasp the aspects of the rp and even may be in conflict with your religion or personal beliefs. So we ask that you please be acquainted with the idea and not have a problem with the aspect of vampires, witches, slayers, and even ghosts and other types of the supernatural.

6: Members may have Multiple Accounts. No one enjoys getting halfway into a plotline and then having a main character disappear because that member is 'too busy writing another character'. We ask that you be realistic about how much time you can devote to another character before you register. We also have a limit of no more than 2 characters per member. If you apply for a 3rd character we will likely not accept their bio.

7: NO HYBRIDS!! Meaning, no watchers/Witches, and no Slayers/Witches, no DEMON/Witches, No Vamp/Werewolves...nothing to that manner at all!! Your character is what it is!! Now W&H employees are different...they work in different parts of the company...they dabble in magic and sometimes are demons, totally understandable. But your character other than an employee can not be an effing HYBRID!!

8: You can only have 1 banner, preferably the size of 520X250. If you have a question about the size PM one of the admins and send it to us and let us look at it and we will tell you if it is ok.

9: If you're using a Buffy-Verse Character (from the show), make sure you RP (Role Play) appropriately. For example, Xander wouldn't turn evil and take over SunnyDale unless he's under a spell which is ok, unless he's not part of the big-bads plot; try and write your dialogue to sound as much like the Character your playing. Google quotes and watch some epi's. They will help you!

10: If you take a character then you must post at least 2 or 3 times a week or tell us when you will be able to get on! If someone wants the character and you haven't been on for a while we can't keep it reserved for you. So please post regularly or tell us what days you can get on. Character Activity levels are monitored at this site since we have many plots that rely on canon input. There is an area where you can let everyone know when you are gone by posting a reply. When you return we appreciate you posting a response that lets us know you are back so we can start RPing with your character again. If you will be on an extended absence, please notify the admin to prevent your character being deleted due to inactivity. We do maintenance usually each month to remove inactive characters. Warning emails are sent out to all members to review in advance, so there should not be any reason for account deletion if you just keep us contacted and aware of your schedule. Accounts with less than 10 posts after 30 days of registration may be deleted without notice. Accounts with 0 posts will be deleted after 7 days. We have to do this to prune down the lists and avoid sending emails to members who are no longer active members at the site.

11: Please no chat-speak. No 'c u l8er' or anything of that sort.

12: No Killing another character or a suicide. No dying unless giving permission by the staff. And you do not have the permission to sire anyone, unless you are given permission from the person, as well as the admins. If we see it and we have not PMed you about that then you will be banned for a week maybe 2 weeks.

13: No talking for another character!! We assign characters for a reason and that's so that person can be they're character and not someone speaking for them. If we see that it is resolved in banning and the second offense is deletion.

14: No "God Modding": never doing the impossible or unrealistic. No taking over another characters actions like death or anything like that unless given permission by staff or the other person. Which means you can't kill them unless you ask and plan the scene out and PM an admin about it and let us know about the scene and what's going to happen. If you want to die then you will have to get the ok from the staff.

15: If you have to speak in the RP sections, use ((enter text here.)) Or use the format OOC: Your Text Here BIC: The OCC means (Out Of Character) BIC: (Back In Character)

16: OOC (Out-of-character) flaming (Cruelty or insults) to other members will not be tolerated.

17: Before using your RP character, be sure to post a thread in the sign up section. You may not begin to RP until it is approved and moved to the appropriate board. Use the bio form to make the thread.

18: If you are wanting to have an heart to heart talk or need to get a scene that is important to figuring out something about a big bad or something along those lines then you need to put up a disclaimer in the post saying I've PMed the person I want to join the post. And actually PM them and let them know. Not everyone's a good mind reader. If you want to get a scene that you think is important to the development of the board and everyone keeps coming in and interrupting then I will lock a thread and you and your party or parties will get temporary lock post powers to that thread. So you can post in the thread when locked. Just PM the staff about it and we will set it up for you. We know with a lot of people RPing it's hard to know when to come in and sometimes you may come in on an important scene and not know it. Just go with the flow if you get interrupted and PM a staff member and you can start another thread with the similar vibe and get to do the scene you want to act out.

19: NO SPAMMING!! If you want to advertise your sites and things like that then I don't mind. But if you advertise your site and just disappear then it will be removed and deleted from our archives and threads. We do have affiliates and we will be happy to link your button if you link our site as well. If we still have your button up and you no longer have ours up I will delete the button from our board. It's not fair to get free hostage from here and we aren't getting any in return. And also post the thread in the appropriate place. We have a set board for this type of advertising.


20: Please do not have everything at the most opportune moment. This is supposed to be a realistic RP and if everyone just happens to have an extra stake in their back pocket, or can pull a vial of potion or an extra sword, every time they are fighting or loose their weapon, it becomes extremely dull. Buffy often finds herself in places and situations where she wishes she had her stake or some type of weapon with her, etc, but not having it handy often makes for better reading. She has to make realistic choices and think on her feet. She's human and that’s why she is such a hero to us. As long as things are used in moderation and a sufficient explanation is given for how the item was obtained or brought from the beginning of the thread with the occupant, I do not have a problem with these items being used in the RP. Not everyone can have a stake with them unless they are a slayer, watcher and sometimes witches carry them. Just keep in mind that if your weapon is knocked out of your hands you must retrieve it. Sometimes you have a smaller weapon tucked away but usually it’s just that one weapon.

21: Please do not type your posts in color. We will have several skins available on the site and many members may be unable to read your posts if you do. If you want people to read and respond to what you say, then please leave the colors out of the posts so we can better read and understand what you are writing. I understand some boards allow it but I find it distracting if color is used, so therefore I don’t want it in the RPing threads. Your welcome to use the color options in the OOC Boards, but not in the rping boards.

22: If you want to use the banners or pictures that I or anyone else has posted on this board, then you must ask and I will get in touch with the poster who made them or if I posted them will give you permission to use them. You must credit the person and this site in the use of them! Everyone gets credit for they’re work.

23: "Does the admin think she is God or what?!" HAHA oh good lord! No, I certainly don't, but I do, however, have the unenviable task of organizing and maintaining harmony between the members and their powers, and the levels of their set race. The rules I have in place are there to create harmony between members and to take out those who are insulting and disruptive to the purpose of the site. Anyway, the point is that if you do not agree with the rules in place, we are more than happy to invite you to find a site that better suits you.

It is also unwise to insult the admin staff or GMods if you do not like the rules. By registering an account at the RP site you specifically agree to read the guidelines and adhere to them. And just to make it even more final then I have tried to state above, the choices and actions taken by the admins and GMods are final! Don't question them. You will get an explanation of the action, which is put forth, but we will not have a long discussion. We are fair and we adhere to our rules, so we ask you to do the same! We won't be unfair and give you a crazy reason as to why we put forth our power, but if you are in the situation then you must have broken our rules. So we had to put for action.

New Administrative Warning System is now in place. This is because I have noticed on other boards are having a lot of problems with members who continously ignore the warnings the GMods, and the admin staff have been sending about rule infractions. I will be stepping in on those who ignore warnings and personally keeping an eye on their posts if we have any of those problems. This is just a precaution I have found to work on other boards and have decided to put into place on here so if we have these said problems we can handle them accordingly. But as the consequences of these said posters that don't follow these rules, If the problems are not improved upon, the member faces account suspension and eventally banning in extreme cases.


Step by Step guide on how this will work:

Administrative Warning System. Members are given many chances to improve their RP skills at this site. However, when we bring to someone's attention that they are consistently breaking rules and they ignore admin staff warnings on how to change this behavior and skill to improve it, then the site admins must step in. The administrative warning system works as follows:

A: Member does not alter behavior after repeated warnings by an admin staff members (including GMods, and Admins.) A staff member notifies me, the main site admin, with complete background on the situation and links to appropriate threads/PMs. First warning will be sent to the perpetrator (Person in question) via personal message, and/or in RP thread and will be recorded then saved.

B: If another instance of the same behavior happens after the warning and improvements are not made, the member will be placed into the group "Admin Warning 1". This will appear as text in that members posting profile and a PM of final warning will then be sent with notification that any further offenses will result in a ban for a day.

C: Third instance of the behavior will result in character account a longer ban of 3 days then in the previous warning B. Therefore the member Member is placed in 'Admin Warning 2' group and sent a final warning PM. If this infraction is serious, the final warning may be notice that banning for a week will result with the next occurance.

D: After the week ban expires, the member will continue to be monitored for behavior. If another instance is recorded the final step is banning from the forum for a month. Should any harrassment result from this after the month is up, complete banning from the site will occur and we will contact the person's ISP [internet service provider] to report the misconduct towards the members and the site.

Removal of Warning Status:

Warning status will be removed at my discretion. If a member resolves issues and discontinues the improper conduct I will remove the status. However, if the behavior reappears, warning levels and suspension will return. And the process will begin all over again.



Hope everyone understands that this is necessary to fairly resolve rulebreaking issues at this site so we don't have problems like all the others. Other sites have sometimes been too lenient in the past in dealing with people who ignored the admin and Gmod's staff warnings, and sometimes they've done exactly what they've needed to do. But sometimes something more has to be done so we won't have these issues here. I'm sure we won't but this is just a precaution.
